Whether you shower in the morning to wake up or shower in the evening to relax, there’s nothing quite like stepping into a clean, fresh shower. However, no one likes to clean the bathroom!

Maid services do a great job cutting down the amount of bathroom cleaning you have to do, but to have the best shower, there will still be some to do. Use these tips to make your shower great all the time.

Dry out the shower. When you finish, take a towel and dry the walls, or turn your vent on and run it for a while to remove excess moisture. This will reduce soap scum build up and prevent mildew, two things you don’t want in your shower!

Use a sponge. Especially if you have a porcelain bathtub, you can actually ruin the finish if you use anything that will scour the tub. Instead, use a soft sponge or cloth. This way, you’ll get a great clean, a good buff, and protect your tub. 

Clean from the top down. This is true anytime you clean: when you work from the top down, you prevent moving dirt to areas you’ve already cleaned. As you clean the shower, work from the highest point down, then rinse out the bathtub when you’re done.

Throw the shower curtain in the washing machine. Many shower curtains can be laundered like anything else, making cleaning it a lot easier and also making it possible to wash it more frequently. This will both reduce germs and make your bathroom look great all the time.
